13. Is there a minimum age requirement to attend?

Yes, we request that all attendees are at least 14 years of age to attend. Or at least old enough to crop. Under 14 please see your host. Out of respect for the other guests and moms: please do not bring any children. If you are nursing please contact your host. Moms miss their babies too much and have a hard time relaxing when your children remind them of their own. Although your children may be well behaved and quiet, this is sometimes the only getaway that moms get!  We will have to remain strict on this policy so that we can ensure that everyone can enjoy themselves.

14. What should I wear?
Dress in layers! Although the room temp will be kept at 68, the temperature in the cropping area may change according to the weather outside as well as throughout the day as the number of bodies in the room increase and decrease. Don’t forget to pack your jammies and slippers for late night cropping! It does tend to be chilly the later in the evening that it gets.

15. What should I bring?
Pack your cropping supplies that you plan on using. If you would like suggestions on how to organize and condense, contact your host prior to WinterFEST for help. We can suggest a list of products and services to help you. You DON’T need to bring everything you own for this weekend, unless you think it will fit into your 18 square foot of cropping space. Bringing too many things may infringe on your neighbors’ space.
Contact our vendors for info on product pre-orders. Pre-orders are encouraged to ensure prompt delivery of your products and to make sure that we have what you would like on hand. Vendors list and their websites are posted here:  VENDORS .

16. What can I drink?

You can drink anything that has a closed top. Please, no open containers unless they are in some sort of Side-Kick™, we would hate for you to ruin one of your pages by a spilled drink or built up condensation. A Side-Kick™ is strongly encouraged. This protects your work and also your neighbors work.

Regarding alcoholic beverages: Each of the properties who host our weekend events have strict requirements with regard to bringing alcoholic beverages into our cropping area. THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED. However, there is some leniency to this rule if we use discretion when drinking. If you decide to bring alcoholic beverages, please keep it private. Covered containers are always best! Please do not drink openly, there will be croppers under 21 in the room. If these beverages are visible to a host or hotel representative you will be asked to remove it for legal and security purposes.

18. What happens if there is bad weather?
Please contact your host if we are expecting inclement weather. Our event will go on as scheduled unless the hotel is unable to provide the service to us. They then would expect us to reschedule. If it snows, don’t hesitate to contact us, we can surely organize the trip with others who have 4 wheel drive vehicles who aren’t gonna let a little Jack Frost get in the way of their weekend away!
If you are interested in carpooling let your host know.

19. What is Ms. Winterfest? update 2023 We are currently taking a break from Ms. Winterfest.

It’s a fun game we play all weekend to encourage each other, to get to know each other, and to help each other have a little fun.  Although all of our previous Ms. Winterfests have been visions of beauty, it is not a contest based on appearances or popularity.  The reigning Ms. Winterfest will award the first deserving recipient of 2022 within the hour that Winterfest opens.  Click HERE for more information.
